  2. Appearance • Boy lions have a mane. • Lions’ manes make them look larger than they are. • Lion have four sharp teeth they are called canines.

  3. Movement • Lions can almost walk silently. • They can leap thirty feet. • Lions can charge forward at thirty miles an hour.

  4. Interesting facts • Lion babies have blue eyes. • Lions have four toes on there back paws and five toe on there front paws. • A lions roar can be heard up to five miles.

  5. What they eat • Lions like to eat buffalo and zebra meat. • Lions like to eat giraffes and elephant. • Lions also like to eat warthogs.

  6. Habitat • Lions live in tall grassy areas that are called savannas. • The lions in India live in the forest. • Lions live where there is lots of prey.

  7. Babies • Lions babies are called cubs. • Lions cubs are born with small dark spots all over their bodies. • Baby cubs look like cats.
