Introduction What is Neighbourhoods Green? • Partnership Initiative - Natural England, Groundwork UK, Green Flag Partnership, Design Council, Landscape Institute & Wildlife Trusts • Importance of green space in the context of social housing • Funded through the partnership • Builds on London pilot project started in 2003 • National Influence

Project Aims • Develop and coordinate a national Neighbourhoods Green partnership project • Build a knowledge and resources base • Champion good practice and share learning and expertise • Advocate the role of green space in place making to influence relevant government departments and encourage policy that acknowledges the role of green space in social housing

Achievements to date • Established multi-disciplinary steering group • Embedded within housing sector through NHF • Over 100 social landlords on board • Coverage in Inside Housing, 24 Dash • Up-to-date website – news, discussion forum, case studies • Programme of study visits in each of the regions
