  1. Where is the love? Black Eyed Peas

  2. Important lyrics “Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorismBut we still got terrorists here livin’In the USA, the big CIA The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK” “People killin', people dyin'Children hurt and you hear them cryin’” “It just ain't the same, old ways have changedNew days are strange, is the world insane?” “Wrong information always shown by the mediaNegative images is the main criteriaInfecting the young minds faster than bacteriaKids wanna act like what they see in the cinema” “Nations droppin' bombsChemical gasses fillin' lungs of little onesWith ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die youngSo ask yourself is the lovin' really gone”

  3. Meaning • This song talks about what we, as a nation, are doing wrong and how we’re not doing a whole lot to fix the problems we have. • Including things such as wars and racism

  4. “Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism But we still got terrorists here livin' In the USA, the big CIA The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK” • The CIA is the central intelligence agency. These specific lyrics are talking about mainly political issues. • Were going to different places to try and stop terrorism but yet we still have gangs here that are free that we haven't stopped. Even with the CIA.

  5. “The Bloods, the Crips and the KKK” • The Bloods are mostly an African American street gang with there biggest rivals being the Crips. The Crips are also a street gang that’s primarily African American. • The Ku Klux Klan, otherwise known as KKK is a white supremacy group.

  6. Continued • The Bloods and the Crips fight and kill each other putting there race down. On top of that, the KKK are extremely racist towards people of color creating a problem in society. This is a human rights issue because in this case everyone is not being treated as equals. • Gangs also create a problem within society because of there violence and association with drugs and the black market.

  7. People killin', people dyin'Children hurt and you hear them cryin' • Political decisions to go to war are made but sometimes not in the best interest of civilians • Many innocent people, including children, are killed and injured because of political issues countries have with one another.

  8. For example • Today still, in Afghanistan we are fighting to get the Taliban out of power. In this process we are killing and dying. • The cause of this war or any war seems more important then anything. Bombs are dropped and drones strike areas killing and injuring many innocent children

  9. “It just ain't the same, old ways have changedNew days are strange, is the world insane?” • This quote talks about both political and environmental issues • Before, there was less to worry about, better care was taken of the planet, and money wasn’t treated the same as it is now. • Businesses with big factories don’t take much consideration regarding the planet, if they can make money, polluting the atmosphere isn’t an issue. • Now, its almost as if the environment has taken a backseat to progress. • Money has almost taken over

  10. “Nations droppin' bombsChemical gasses fillin' lungs of little onesWith ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die youngSo ask yourself is the lovin' really gone” • Again we come back to the aspect of war and innocent people dying because of it. • We keep doing things such as dropping bombs, not taking notice to the tremendous collateral damage that follows. • Why do we keep doing this when we know these innocent people are dying? Is the loving really gone?

  11. “Nations droppin' bombsChemical gasses fillin' lungs of little onesWith ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die youngSo ask yourself is the lovin' really gone” • Nations dropping bombs could be referring to the bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima ending WWII, where a total of about 150,000–246,000+ people died including many innocent people. • Chemical gases are used as a weapon by many, but innocent children are affected by it as well, cutting there lives short becoming an issue. If countries fighting could resolve there problems another way then all these children would get to live a life they deserve.

  12. “Wrong information always shown by the mediaNegative images is the main criteriaInfecting the young minds faster than bacteria” • An example of this is during elections, campaign commercials portray all of the great things for a specific party and many negative aspects towards the opposition party or attack specific individuals from that party.
