It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another.

Attendance • 90% attendance = ½ day missed each week! • 1 school year at 90% = 4 weeks of school missed (96 lessons)! • 90% attendance over 5 years = ½ a school year missed! • Research suggests that 17 missed school days in a year = 1 GCSE grade drop in achievement in each subject • Simply – the greater the attendance the greater the achievement • Colleges and employers will want to know about a students attendance record

  22. Lateness • When a student arrives late to lesson it is not just their learning that is affected, it is the whole classes • Frequent lateness can add up to a considerable amount of learning lost
