  2. The Storyline... Close up sleeping wolf, snoring. Slow pull back to a mid shot of the sleeping wolf, as opening credits roll.

  3. We begin to hear a fast gallop sound, gradually growing in volume (as if coming from some distance away). Suddenly, a puppy jumps into the frame, landing right in front of the sleeping wolf with a high-pitched "YIP!"

  4. The adult wolf startles a bit, and lifts his head to look at the puppy, emitting a deep rumbling noise. The puppy stands there, wagging his tail so enthusiastically that his whole body shakes. The puppy sits abruptly, then lifts his head and lets out a high-pitched puppy howl.

  5. The adult continues to look at him, unimpressed. The puppy stands up with a little jump, and looks at the adult again. The puppy again lifts his head and lets out a (longer, this time, and more insistent) puppy howl. The adult looks at him standing there, still wagging his tail like crazy, and finally stands up stiffly.

  6. The adult walks over to the pup, a bit menacingly. As he approaches, the pup begins to cower. Finally the pup rolls over, tail between legs, and the adult rumbles a growl and snarls his lip a bit as he sniffs the pup's belly.

  7. Finally the adult relents, and walks off a short distance. The puppy watches him from the corner of his eye and then gets up and slinks off a few yards.

  8. The adult sits, and looks around, surveying his domain. The adult glances over at the pup, sitting forlornly a short ways away.

  9. The adult lifts his head, and lets out a deep and resonant howl.

  10. Another adult (who has been asleep in the background throughout the preceding episode), wakes up, and lifts her head from a lying position, howling along with her mate.

  11. The puppy, who has gradually cheered up through the course of thehowling, is very excited now. Unable to contain himself, he lets out his most enthusiastic puppy howl.

  12. The family howls together for a few moments, then become quiet. The adult lies back down, and returns to sleep.

  13. As the credits end, the adult is fully back to sleep. In the background, we begin to hear galloping again. As we slowly pull in on the adult, he begins to snore and the credits roll.

  14. Cut to black, followed by the puppy going "YIP!"
