  2. FAIR TRADE FORTNIGHT Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 23rd February until 3rd March. The Fairtrade Committee are running a number of events to promote Fairtrade including an S1 Assembly, raffles, coffee mornings etc. We are also going to put a wee quiz question in everyday over the next 2 weeks to see how much you know about Fairtrade? Take the Fairtrade Quiz… answers at the end of the bulletin

  5. S5/6 Senior Reports  Please collect your report from Miss McWaters at Interval, Lunchtime or after school today. DO NOT ASK OUT OF CLASS TO COLLECT THEM Senior Basketball The Senior basketball team have a match against All Saints TONIGHT after school. There will be a meeting in the PE department at Interval today. All players must attend. Senior Parents Evening  This takes place tomorrow between 3.15pm and 5.15pm. Make sure you have appointments with your teachers for parents/carers to attend. Remember the Careers Advisor and Employability Officer will also be attending for any extra information such as SAAS info, College apps, Modern Apprenticeships and best pathways for life after school. S5 Options Interviews  Please make sure you have your completed Options Forms with you tomorrow as we will begin options interviews over the next few days.

  6. S5/6 Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice Youth Information Session Interested in joining the medical field? Our clinical team at the hospice would like to offer S5 pupils the opportunity to come along to our Youth Information Session.  The event will take place on Monday 9th March 2015 from 13.00-16.30 in the hospice training room.  The information session will consist of our clinical staff speaking with pupils from a few local schools to give the pupils some information about joining the medical field. If you are interested, please see Miss McWaters at interval to sign up. There are only 10 spaces.

S5/6 S5 Pupils Reach Scotland Reach Scotland is a national project that aims to raise awareness of and to encourage, support and prepare secondary school pupils from s4-s6 wishing to pursue a professional degree at one of the following Universities: University of Aberdeen, University of Dundee, University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow and St. Andrews University. We currently have some pupils involved in the Reach programme with an interest in pursuing careers in Dentistry, Law, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Reach staff are looking to add to these subject areas and are hoping to also work with students interested in Education, Accountancy/Finance and Engineering. If you are interested in pursuing a career in any of highlighted areas above, are on track to achieve the necessary qualifications and are interested in taking part in the Reach programme, please give your name to your Principal Teacher of Pastoral Care.
