EN-MEF-INTmandates Engineering Department (EN):provides Engineering Competences, Infrastructure Systems and Technical Coordination for the design, installation, operation, maintenance and dismantling of the CERN accelerator complex and its experimental facilities. Machines & Experimental Facilities Group (MEF) : is responsible for planning and coordinating all maintenance and installation activities in the CERN Accelerator Complex Integration Section (INT): studies the layout and installation procedure of all machines and transfer lines.

  6. Personal mandate Domains of responsibility • The definition of the hardware baseline • Identification of Equipment and Technical Specifications • Creation and update of the machine layout • Complete 3D design of the accelerator • Layout database • The integration of the machine inside the equipped building • In cooperation with the services integrators provide a Complete 3D design of the facility • The configuration management • documentation and implementation of all proposed changes in the configuration of the machine
