  8. Current Research • IDRI has found ways to detect Leprosy • Detection before lumps occur • Developing vaccine • Treatment for leprosy through (MDT) multi drug therapy (IDRI) • Colorado state doing skin tests • Tested on armadillos • Test numbness and tingling (NIAID

  9. Susceptible • Found mostly in Tropical Regions (NIAID): • Angola, Brazil, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, Madagascar, Nepal, and the United Republic of Tanzania • Men more susceptible(Feigin)
