Box and Whisker PlotsDividing data into Quartiles Quartiles is another way of saying dividing the data into quarters of fourths. • First, find the median (the middle number) • Next, find the middle of the lower number, (not including the median), this is the first quartile Q1 • Lastly, find the middle of the greater value, (not including the median), this is the third quartile Q3
