  1. MY EVALUATION JAYANTHI MUTTURAJA

  2. Here is my masthead which represents big font like vibe magazine does and which is very conventional in a R&B magazine. Here is a list of name of artist presented inside my music magazine and this is very conventional in most music magazines. This is magazine tag line presented below the masthead which is very conventional like other magazines. This is my central image. I used this male model to represent the young artist Justin Bieber. He is attracting the audience through making direct contact with his eyes. Also it is very attracting the way the model is posing which will attract more audience. Here is the main cover story that will be mentioned inside the magazine. This is very conventional because that text is presented is big font than the other stories mentioned. This is my barcode presented on the front cover like other magazines and this is very conventional. As you can see this the price of my magazine the amount it will cost you to spend. This is conventional like other magazines because they have their price listings on the front cover

  3. On the other page I have presented only copy however this is very unconventional in a music magazine because I have presented mainly copy. On the other hand I have challenged the conventions of a music magazine because As you can see this is the double page spread of my magazine and here is the picture of an mode who is representing the teen artist Justin Bieber. You can see that this is a mid length picture and there is half nudity presented in the image which will attract my audience, especially teen-young girls. Here is presented the footer at the end of the page which conventional in a music magazine As you can here is the footer showing the page number and again this conventional in every music magazine

  4. As you can see this shows the name the of my magazine and the month it is published As you can see this is my contents page which is divided into two different sections, on one side of the section I have contents presented which mentions all the stories and gossips inside the magazine On this section I have presented a model who is representing artist Nicole Scherzinger.

  5. HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS? In order to represent a particular social group I created a questionnaire which showed that people aged between 16-25yrs old were interested in my magazine. I have represented teen-young adults for my magazine through my front cover image, it is very appealing because the image is making direct contact through his eyes. The model is giving a very natural pose and smiling which is very normal.

  6. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUSTING THIS PRODUCT To create this magazine I have used a range of technologies like the computer and camera. I also used range of hardware and software like InDesign, Photoshop, Google, Word Press, Phones, social networks and many more. The software InDesign and Photoshop were accessible only at college and unfortunately I didn’t have it on my private laptop, so in order to use these software I visited my college library and made use of it in my media lessons. The use of camera was only accessible through booking the camera which I did. It was very easy to borrow the camera. However, It was very challenging in the beginning to make use of InDesign, Photoshop and the Still Camera because I have never made use of this hardware or software. Fortunately I developed my skills through my Preliminary tasks which helped me for my music magazine.

  7. WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY? • The institution that might distribute my media product is Bauer. • Bauer is a multinational media company which operates in countries worldwide, this will help my music magazine to be published in different countries and in different languages which will attract worldwide audience. • Bauer publishes some of the major music magazines like Q, MOJO, KERRANG and I think it is important for my music magazine to be distributed by Bauer who is representing some of the major brands, this will help my music magazine to attract big audience due to the Publisher’s reputation and record of music magazines. • Q is one of the major magazines published by Bauer and I think my magazine has similarities with the Q magazine because like Q, my magazine is targeting an young older audience. • My magazine is most likely to be sold in a Supermarket, WH smith and Music shop because of major population visiting the supermarket atleast once a week gives my magazine a boost of being sold, moreover major music fans can be visiting a music shop to look for magazines of their genre, like my magazine is a R&B genre.

  8. LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TO THE FULL PRODUCT? • I have learnt various skills like using the InDesign, Photoshop which was really important for my magazine constructions. • In the beginning of my project I was finding it very difficult to use software like InDesign and Photoshop because I have never used them before, however through my preliminary task I further developed using it for my main magazine construction. • Other skills that I have developed is the skills of taking pictures according to the targeted audience, what I mean by this is that for my music magazine I attracted my audience through the poses of the central image. • Moreover I developed the idea of representing the colours, fonts and texts in my magazine, In order for my magazine to attract the audience I used bright colours such as yellow, blue, red and more, I made use of TW CEN MT CONDENSED EXTRA BOLD which will make direct contact with my through the bold font presented. • Most importantly I was struggling in the beginning of making use of the Still Camera however through preliminary tasks I Improved my skills which helped me through my main project.

  9. WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT? • As mentioned before, the typical my magazine sound reader is aged between 16-25yrs old and is passionate about music. The socio economic group of my audience’s parents is C1/C2 and this is because most of my reader will be financially dependent on parents, however some of my reader can be living own their as it more targets at a middle class audience. • The typical reader for my magazine Sound is male and female, I think my magazine attracts both gender because of the images and textual language represented in my magazine.

  10. HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE? • In order to attract my audience I represented them on the cover page through a teen star. Moreover the teen star on the front cover is making direct contact with the reader through the eyes. • I also attracted my attracted my audience through different colours, fonts and font size which will make direct contact with the reader. • I also had my model to pose in style that will approach readers buying my magazine through the model representation.
