  3. Response rates (SILS form), S12 • In classes with 10+ students, response rates ranged from 0 (4 classes) to 86% (25/29) • Top response rates among full-time faculty: • 465, Lee, 74% • 500, Wildemuth, 65% • 525, Marciano, 60% • 490, Pomerantz, 58%

Suggestions for improving response rates • Set aside class time for survey completion • Stress the importance of providing feedback (repeatedly) • Explain how the evaluations are used • Collect and respond to students’ comments mid-term • Other suggestions? • Should we eliminate the SILS form (adding items to the CCE)? Would that improve the CCE response rate?
