  1. By: Joe Sasson Drew Sheckell Matt Harrison Lane Cortright Physical Bullying And How It Links To Suicide

  2. Physical Bullying • 33 percent of people are scared of going to the bathroom because of physical bullying.

  3. Physical bullying 22 percent of kids have ditch school because they are scared of bullying.

  4. Physical bullying 15 percent of physical bullying leads to suicide. This is a very big problem.

  5. Problem Quotes •  At least one girl was suspended from school for threatening and harassing Prince, but school administrators did little else to stop the bullying. On 14 January 2010, after suffering continued harassment and an attempted physical assault, Prince went home and committed suicide by hanging herself.

  6. Problem Quote • Kids are punched, strangled, and relentlessly taunted in all the familiar (offline) places--school bus, playground, cafeteria--driving children as young as 11 to suicide.

  7. Solution Quote • School and community programs have been launched to curb bullying; one method that has proven successful is the adoption of a school resource officer, who interacts with bullies and victims as both an authority figure and a friend.

  8. Solution Quote • In Norway in 1982, three children were driven to suicide after being bullied. Their deaths shocked and mobilized the country. Schools have instituted sanctions for bullying, and teachers are providing more supervision on playgrounds.
