  3. Absences and Tardies • Call 245-3883 if your child is sick. • Pre-arranged absences must be submitted through the FSUS website or app. • Students will be marked tardy if they arrive after 8:01am. They will also be marked tardy if they leave early.

  4. Transportation • If there is a change in your child’s regular afternoon transportation, please send a DOJO message, send a note in the important pouch, or call the front office. • Car Pick Up-make sure the person picking up has a FSUS tag and your child has the companion tag. • Students will go to afterschool at 3:15pm if not picked up.

  6. Behavior • Classdojo.com • You can check behavior daily. • Weekly report sent every Friday. • Citizenship Grade • E: 90-100% • S: 70-89% • N: 50-69% • U: below 50%

  7. Dojo (Behavior Management) -1 five minutes out from recess -2 ten minutes out from recess -3 NO recess

  8. Grades and Report Cards • Grades can be viewed on FOCUS using your child’s 10 digit ID number and birthday (xx/xx/xx). • Students will receive an A, B, C, D, F in the subject areas. • E, S, N, U in citizenship and study skills. • Report Cards go home every 9 weeks; you will receive Progress Reports in the interim via the online FOCUS system. • Advisory: Please sign advisory form each week and leave in Jungle Folder!

  10. Library • Ms. Underhill • We will check out books from the library during centers. • Students are encouraged to take them home and read them with a parent/family member. • Make sure to bring them back in order to check out a new book!

  11. Reading Buddies • We will have Reading Buddies every Friday. • High school juniors read with your child. • There will be a special celebration at the end of the year…The Reading Buddies Picnic!

  12. Jungle Folder • Yellow folder sent home every day. • Important Pouch • Weekly Newsletter • Please check folders CAREFULLY. There will always be important information enclosed. • Class work included • Please clean out daily/weekly!!!

  13. Blue and Red Folders • Blue Homework Folder (October) • Goes home Friday and is due Thursday • Red Weekly Work Folder • Your child’s incomplete class work goes into a weekly folder. What they have not completed by Friday will be sent home and due Monday for a completion grade.

Field Trips • Kindergarten • Sept. 22nd –Animal Tails (in-house) • Oct.   – Aunt Louise’s Farm • Oct 31st - In-house Owl Lady • Nov. 13th & 14th– St. Marks Butterfly Migration • March 6th & 7th – Panacea • April 20th- Challenger Learning Center • High Tech High Touch Classroom Science Visits • 5 senses (September 13th) • Life Science (November 15th) • Matter (January 24) • Sound (March 28th) • We have some wonderful trips planned. Look for more information and permission slips to come! *Background checks are necessary to chaperone.*
