  1. Hungary: 93.000 km2 , 19 counties, 10 million population Fejér Fejér County: 4.359 km2 , 430.000 population, 108 settlements 2 cities with county rigths, 10 towns, 96 villages

  2. 18 years old and older young people are allowed to buy alcoholic drinks in Hungary. Parliament has regulation law. In Hungarian society the most commonly used legal drug is alcohol.

  3. Only 16-17% of secondary school students have never drunk alcoholic drinks. 30-35% of secondary school students are regular alcohol drinking costumers.

  4. Boys are in generality in regular alcoholic drink costumer. Girls are in small generality in casually alcoholic drink costumer. With the growing of age the number of alcohol drinking costumers increase but it is independentfrom qualifications of parents!

  5. Most of students drink liqueurs casually. In the regular consuming first is wine and second is spirits

  6. In Fejér county 55-62% of the students have already been drunk!

  7. Most of young people can buy alcholic drinks in hypermarkets (Tesco, Cora, Auchan, Interspar), in supermarkets (Spar, Lidl, Aldi, Penny Market, CBA Hungarian network, Plus), in every food store and petrol station shops.

  8. Most of hypermarkets are open 06:00-22:00, but Tesco and lot of petrol station are open nonstop.

  9. Unfortunately lot of young people can get alcoholic drinks very easily from their social partners. Lot of children meet with alcohol first time in small groups of friends at parties. In lower social groups the children get alcoholic drinks from their parents.

  10. One of the saddest consequences of alcohol drinking the is the discotheque accident. 200 young people are killed in Hungary in every years in accidents when they travel home with their car from disco party in early morning. Generally this cars are full and the drivers –mainly drunk- drive very fast. This is a big problem and lot of teenagers are in a situation of emergency.
