What’s Next? • Washington State is transitioning to the use of the National Incident Management • Compliance Assessment Support Tool (NIMSCAST) for compliance reporting • through the state and to the federal government in FFY 2010. • The Washington State Emergency Management Division will authorize Regional • Homeland Security Coordination Districts, counties, tribes and state agencies to • submit compliance reports into NIMSCAST. • The counties, tribes and state agencies (DOH) will then authorize cities and other • organizations within their hierarchical structure to submit compliance reports into • NIMSCAST. • The Washington State Homeland Security Section, the Regional Homeland • Security Coordination Districts, the counties and DOH will have the • ability to view reports that have been submitted within their hierarchical structure. • The Washington State Homeland Security Section and the Regional Homeland • Security Coordination Districts may use the reports that have been submitted into • NIMSCAST to determine compliance when administering Federal funding.

May submit reports (if invited by higher authority) 2. May invite organizations, agencies and departments to submit reports (if given appropriate permission to do so by higher authority) 3. May view NIMSCAST reports within hierarchal structure and use as a tool to determine compliance when administering Federal preparedness assistance funding
