  2. Agenda • Key driver for proposed changes • Process for identifying changes • Proposed changes impacting MPs • Request feedback from TPTF http://nodal.ercot.com 2

  3. Key Driver for Proposed Changes • Ensure the final MMS FAT completes by 30Jun08, allowing 2 months for integration & EDS4 activities prior to the 168 hour test start on 1Sep08 • Previous schedule proposed a FAT start date of 1Jul08 for the S&B calculations release & a FAT start date of 1Sep08 for the multiple models release • Most S&B calculations can be moved forward into the last release (FAT start date of 22Apr08; FAT end date of 30Jun08) • Multiple models and several other tasks can not be incorporated into the last release http://nodal.ercot.com 3

  4. Process for Identifying Changes • Joint review of all pending change items by MMS & ABB teams • Define scope changes (as directed by ERCOT & ABB execs) as: • ABB reductions (e.g., decrease in PMO activities due to shortened timeline) • ERCOT to complete (e.g., user guides, selected S&B interface tasks) • recommended deferrals impacting ERCOT ops (e.g., tool to aid operations in validation of CIM importer results, configurable start & end time for WRUC’s study mode) • recommended deferrals impacting the MPs (see next page for itemization) • Parallel review activities: • MMS team review with ERCOT Ops • MMS team review with TPTF • ABB team review to determine schedule impacts • Prioritize recommended changes • Identify which deferrals must be made to achieve timeline • Finalize scope changes and communicate to ABB http://nodal.ercot.com 4

  5. Proposed Changes Impacting MPs • Multiple models • Two S&B information only calculations (DAOPTINFO & RTOPIRINFO) • Automated interface for QSEs with resources to update resource parameters (e.g. ramp rates) in MMS NOTE: Workaround will be through a manual process • Dynamically scheduled resource incremental and decremental energy offer curves http://nodal.ercot.com 5

  6. Request Feedback • Feedback from TPTF on proposed changes impacting MPs http://nodal.ercot.com 6
