Key Driver for Proposed Deferrals • Ensure the final MMS FAT completes by 30Jun08, allowing 2 months for integration & EDS4 activities prior to the 168 hour test start on 1Sep08 • This was the direction provided to the ERCOT & ABB MMS teams by the Nodal and ABB executives on 28Nov07 • The proposed deferrals will help MMS meet the Nodal program timeline http://nodal.ercot.com 4

MMS3 FAT Status • MMS3 FAT started on 18Feb08 with a targeted completion of 14Mar08 • 151 structured tests completed with an 83% pass rate • One severity 1 defect remained that was written against the EDS environment; workaround is available but cumbersome; working with ABB to deliver a fix by end of this week • 14Mar formal FAT exit approved by Eileen Hall on 18Mar08 • MMS3 was earlier deployed to various downstream systems (e.g., EDS, EIP, INT) http://nodal.ercot.com 7
