What are the precautions to be taken after Chemotherapy?

Cancer Treatment with chemotherapy is done to destroy cancer cells, but unfortunately, it also kills the healthy, infection-fighting cells at the same time, that further results in suppressing the immune system which makes the patients more vulnerable to infection. As per the best oncologist in Gurgaon there should be extra care to be provided to the patients to avoid any complications in the future.<br>Visit: https://www.parashospitals.com/paras-hospital-gurgaon/centres-of-excellence/oncology/

  1. As per the best oncologist in Gurgaon there should be extra care to be provided to the patients to avoid any complications in the future. Here are some precautions that should be taken after the chemotherapy: It is advised to the lush toilets twice, each time they are used. It is always recommended that the patients should use a separate toilet from others in the home, if possible. The caregivers always have to wear gloves when handling the patients and then dispose of the gloves after each use and wash your hands. Patients should thoroughly wash their hands and the devices with soap and water after using any devices for bodily waste. Any sheets or clothes that get soiled with bodily fluids should be machine-washed twice in hot water with regular laundry detergent. Absorbable undergarments should be placed in sealed plastic bags for disposal. If caregivers accidentally come in contact with bodily fluids, they should wash the area of exposure several times with soapy water and inform their doctors on their next visit. The caregivers have to be extra precautious to avoid repeated exposure. They have to be sure that someone is present with the patient, because more help may be needed at those times. Take care for the any sign or symptom listed in the “When to Call Your Doctor” section on the drug sheet(s).
