Representatives from Michigan Minority Health Coalition will give a presentation on the health care and health insurance issues. A question and answer period will be included. Should everybody have health insurance? • If I do not get health insurance, is there a penalty? • What types of coverage will satisfy the requirement? • What happens if my family and I are covered by employer-provided insurance? • What if my family and I are covered by Medicaid or Medicare? • What is the Exchange /Marketplace? What are the exemption? • Will my parents (new immigrants with sponsored green cards) be covered?
