  8. Come up with a transitional phrase for one of the following prompts: • Topic: Gym and Athletes Last Paragraph: about how gym class for athletes leads to lower grades. Next Paragrah: about how gym class leads to fatigue (Lessened performance in game) OR 2. Topic: Uniforms Last Paragraph: About how uniforms lead to lessened competition in clothes (sneaker culture, clothing) Nest Paragraph: About how uniforms save money. Groups

  11. Good Example: Due to global warming, the habitat of the polar bear is slowly being eroded away, which is creating an unbalance in the ecosystem. • Bad example: Some people think global warming is bad for the environment. My example:

Create topic sentences in your groups for one of the following prompts (or a prompt you did yesterday) • Argue for or against: Uniforms should be worn in schools. • Argue for or against: Gym class should not be mandatory for athletes. • Pick a resource that is running out.
