Contraction of the heart • SA node stimulates the atria • AV node collects the stimulus at the septa and funnels it into the Bundle of His which carries the impulse to the ventricle. • The purkinje fibers at the end of the Bundle of His stimulate the ventricles • The delay allows for atrium and ventricle to not be stimulated at the same time.

  5. How does hemoglobin let go of oxygen? • Increased carbon dioxide lowers the pH (carbonic acid is formed) making the curve for oxygen dissociation change. • Lungs that have high CO2 levels would release their oxygen
