  2. The Social Welfare area of the Terrassa City Council • It is formed by the Health and Social Welfare Municipal Institute (autonomous organism of the Terrassa City Council), the Department for Elder People Promotion and the Department for Consume. www.terrassa.cat

  3. The Health and Social Welfare Municipal Institute • Social services offer • Primary care • Primary level of care to the citizen in issues of Social Services. Immediate, general and basic needs. Health and Social Welfare Municipal Institute (IMSABS) has 12 Primary Care Teams decentralised through all Terrassa and 1 Immediate Care Service at the headquarters. • Home care service • Temporal and transitory with the exception of care to elder people and some disability situations. It offers: home help, tele-assistance, meals on wheels, monthly home clean. • Home care for multiple birth babies. • Voluntary work support. To keep to the person home company and accompany for personal business. www.terrassa.cat

  4. Economic help • Economic help to people without basic welfare needs. • Childhood and adolescence • Childhood and adolescence attention team. Evaluation and follow up of possible childhood and adolescence social risks cases. • Education support for girls and boys. Support in the school learning methods, working habits and knowledge of the language. Common project between Càrites, Creu Roja (The Red Cross), Escola Pia and the Health and Social Welfare Municipal Institute (IMSABS). • Open centres for children from 5 to 14 years. To support, to stimulate and to empower the development of the personality, the socialization, the acquisition of basic learning and leisure time. To compensate socio-educative deficits. • Socio-educative project Family School. Focused on adults who are or will be in charge of under age people. • Young District – Young Club “12/18 years”. It promotes the full development in order to facilitate the integration in the community. • Individual dinning hall helps. Elder people • Public housing promotion, day-care centre and residential homes. • Intergeneration program Living and Living together. • Transport • Procedure of Bus 65 and Accès Bus tickets. • Procedure of parking tickets for handicapped people. • Reserve procedure of parking slots. • Weather risk projects • Hot and cold waves. Follow up of the people and families in fragile situations that can be in risk with the increase or decrease of the temperatures. • Urgent and night accommodation in heavy cold situations. www.terrassa.cat

  6. Women • Mobile tele-assistance to victims of gender violence. Immediate care, resources mobilization, information, assessment 24 hours a day. • Urgent accommodation service (SAU). It facilitates accommodation, feed, attendance, security to women victims of the gender violence and her children. • Handicapped • The Municipal Handicapped Info Point informs orientates and gives advice to handicapped people, their families, and entities. • Technical allocations (IMSABS and other consortiums) • It contributes to the improvement of the autonomy and the quality of life of people with dependency and their care person and family. www.terrassa.cat

  7. Health and community services • Sexual and gynaecology consultation. Promoting sexual health programmes for specific groups of people. • School Health Programme. Health feed, drugs prevention, sexual health, teeth health, systematic vaccination programs. • Drug dependence. Prevention programmes: School, university, night leisure time. Exchange of syringe Programme. Advice info point about drug dependence to families. • AIDS. Prevention programmes at the school. Exchange space, debate, information between all the administration levels. • Mental Health Day Care Centre.
