  1. Breaking Down Strongholds

  2. 1. You have a changed life in Jesus (Eph 4:24 NLT) You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God's likeness--righteous, holy, and true. 2. Jesus began the work of changing your attitudes and actions (Rom 12:2 NLT) Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

  3. 3. You are in a battle (Eph 6:12 NLT) For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. 4. All of us battle with strongholds (2 Cor 10:3-4 NLT) We are human, but we don't wage war with human plans and methods. {4} We use God's mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil's strongholds.

  4. Do you have trouble trusting people? • Do you have difficulty giving and receiving love? • Do the same difficulties keep surfacing in your life? • Are you depressed? • Do you struggle with bitterness? • Do you have trouble forgiving people? • Have you ever planned or attempted suicide? • What fears do you have? • Does sexual lust control you? • Have you ever been molested? • Have you had exposure to any of the cults? • Do you struggle with substance abuse?

  5. 5. There is one stronghold that is very personal: The soul-tie 6. We must break all strongholds and soul-ties 7. God has a way of escape for you (1 Cor 10:13 NLT) But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.

  6. You have a decision to make
