  2. Modern tradition of celebrating Easter in England is very bright, colorful and cheerful . Easter is one of the most important holidays of the year .

  3. The religious services are taken place in churches that day.

  4. There are organ concerts in Catholic churches. People wear new clothes to symbolize the end of the season of bad weather and the coming of spring .

  5. Easter in England has its symbols and traditions. In England during the Easter period there аrе special dances called Morris Dancing. Dancers dressed as Robin Hood, perform at numerous venues in parks, churches, and even in the streets of British cities.

  6. And in the small town of Olney famous races with pancakes take place. It is the last day of Maslenitsa. And this day is called Shrove Tuesday which forms from the verb Shrive (forgive sins, confess).

  7. Easter baskets filled with eggs, bread and other food are taken with them to the Easter service to consecrate in the church. On Easter Monday candies and toys are given children in the streets.
