  3. What was the incident you researched? • Rwanda Genocide • April 6, 1994 people in • Rwanda started getting slaughtered • 1/10 of population was murdered • About 800,000 people were killed

  4. What led up to the incident? • 2 tribes – Hutus and Tutsis • Hutus wanted to have all the power and kill the Tutsis • They shot down there president and blamed it on the Tutsis so they would have a reason to kill them

  5. What was the result of the incident? • Mostly men were killed • Nearly 100,00 children were left orphaned after the genocide • There was human and material losses • Many people had psychological trauma and social problems
