Presentation of the city • Constanta is the oldest city in Romania, founded around 600 BC. • The city is located on the Black Sea coast. • Constanta is part of the group of four equal size cities which ranks after Bucharest, Romania's capital, Iasi, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara. • The Constanta metropolitan area was founded in 2007 and comprises 14 localities located at a maximum distance of 30 km from the city and, with around 500,000 inhabitants, is the second largest metropolitan area in Romania, after Bucharest.

Entertainmnet in the city • The Casino :completed between the two World Wars in art nouveau style according to the plans of the architects • St. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cathedral :constructed in Greco-Roman style between 1883 and 1885 • The Fantasio Theatre :built in 1927 by DemosteneTranulis, located in the heart of the city, on Ferdinand Boulevard.

  3. Constanta Travel Agencies • Buses , trams and trolley buses operate as one system, running from 5 am to 11:30 pm. Tickets are interchangeable for all three forms of transport. Route maps are available at yellow kiosks near bus, tram, and trolley bus stops. Tickets can be purchased at kiosks displaying the RATC logo. Be sure to stamp your ticket on boarding. • Buses # 2, 5, 40, 41 42, 44, 49, 51 and trolleybus # 48 make stops in the downtown area. I tried the Chicken Kuwarma, it's a grilled chicken dish served with tomatoes and rice. I had to ask for a spicier version, but it was delicious. Pizarria Cin Cin: Quick and tasty When you are in a hurry or tired from walking all the streets to Casino or Tomis Harbour you can stop here for a good pizza made under your eyes or a shaworma ( Turkish dish ) One pizza is around 3- 3.3 euro .
