Presentation for City of Plaquemine New Plant Overview • Project Cost Estimate for New WWTP, South WWTP Upgrades and Electrical Upgrades is $14,000,000 • Designed for 2 MGD (average flow) and 8 MGD (peak flow) • Current plant treats approximately 0.8 MGD • Plant designed to handle growth in the area

Presentation for City of Plaquemine Plant Facilities • Headworks: screening and grit removal equipment as well as solids/grit dewatering equipment • Aeration Basins: activated sludge aeration basins (concrete) with aeration equipment and flow control weirs • Clarifiers: two 70’ dia concrete tanks complete with weirs and sludge collection/removal equipment • Chlorination Basins/Equipment: concrete basins with disinfection equipment for (liquid NaOCl), flow measurement and sampling equipment • Effluent Pump Station: pump station which will pump effluent thru existing force main to the Mississippi River

Presentation for City of Plaquemine Plant Facilities cont. • Return Activated Sludge (RAS) System: pumping station to control return activated sludge and waste sludge as necessary • Sludge Digestion/Basin: concrete basin to store and digest sludge prior to ultimate disposal • Sludge Dewatering System: equipment/system housed in designed building to dewater sludge and prepare it for ultimate disposal • Scum Pump Station & Drainage Pump Station • Operations/Administration/Lab Building: multi-use building for controlling and administering plant operations as well as running some lab tests for process optimization

Presentation for City of Plaquemine Existing South WWTP • The existing South Plant will be converted into a Raw Water Pump Station which will pump to the new plant via the existing 20’’ force main. In addition, the existing plant’s aeration and clarifier basins will be converted to emergency overflow basins.
