NWRT Phased Array Radar • Operational Status • Install UPS before the end of the year • Ongoing maintenance issues with A/C units • Software Development Activities • Added auto PRT algorithm to minimize range folding • Based on whole 90 deg sector or tracking box • Improvements to Adaptive DSP Algorithm for PAR Timely Scans (ADAPTS) spatial surveillance mode • Technology Developments • Implemented long pulse capability NOAA/NSSL Activities Update

NWRT/PAR Data Collection • Supported 3 Experiments (through June 30th) • Deep Convective Clouds and Chemistry (DC3) • Severe Outbreak • MPAR Wind Shear Detection Capability Assessment Experiment • GOES-14 Rapid Scan Project • Collected NWRT/PAR data while GOES-14 satellite was doing 1-minute high resolution updates over the Oklahoma domain • Phased Array Radar Innovative Sensing Experiment • 6 pairs of journeyman & expert forecasters (June-August) • Evaluate the impact of high temporal resolution radar data on the warning decision-making process • Analysis of results just beginning NOAA/NSSL Activities Update

MPAR Program Activities • Basic Commerce & Industries/Lockheed Martin Panel • Fabrication of dual polarization panel was delayed • Scheduled for fabrication by the end of September • FAA Reimbursable Agreement • Statement of Work signed & money transferred • Continued collaboration on Risk Reduction Activities • MIT/Lincoln Laboratory Demonstrator • SOW signed to develop MPAR 10-panel sub-array demonstrator • Year 1 funds design and fabrication • OU Atmospheric Radar Research Center (ARRC) • Cylindrical Polarimetric Phased Array Radar (CPPAR) • Integrating OU/ARRC backend technology with MIT/LL panel • Kick-off meeting in August NOAA/NSSL Activities Update
