Children can only be picked up by an adult, not an older brother or sister. • If your child has an After School Activity they are to be picked up promptly at 3:00pm. • Absences – it is vital that you inform school of any absences. If your child is sick please call and leave a message at reception or if you are going away then please let the teacher know in advance. • Uniform- please make sure your child is wearing the correct uniform, especially the correct shoes – they should be black shoes NOT trainers and it is essential they bring a hat everyday – NO HAT, NO PLAY! • If they are cold, or have a cold, then they must wear a white t-shirt underneath – not coloured and no scarves.

  5. Essential Information Continued….. • Lunch boxes – please make sure they are healthy. No chocolate bars, sweets or anything with nuts. • Birthday’s – If you want to bring a small cake or cupcakes in to share at the end of the day that is fine, but please remember NO NUTS, and also remember it is still learning time – parties need to be out of school hours. • Swimming – They will be taught by a fully qualified swimming teacher with and assistant. They are ALL expected to swim – it is part of our curriculum. If for any reason they can not they will be expected to bring a note in. They must also make sure their kit is in a bag – please don’t let your child wear a costume under their uniform.

  6. Rewards and Sanctions • We encourage positive behavior at all times. To support this we use a ‘Traffic Light’ system. It runs throughout primary. • Merits • Star of the Week • Healthy Eating Certificate • Golden time- Dream team

  7. Targets • We have introduced an individualised learning programme for the children. The children will have targets for each unit of work in English and Maths. These will be displayed in the classroom and in their books so the children are constantly aware of what their targets are. They will be monitored and assessed as to whether they have achieved their targets and this will reflect their final grades at the end of the year. • Setting – these will be fluid and children will be assessed on a regular basis.
