  14. Problem Products, such as lotion and sunscreen, contain chemicals called benzophenone-2 (BP-2) and benzophenone-3 (BP-3) that wash off in the ocean

  15. Problem The chemicals contribute to: • Ocean water pollution • Coral reef depletion

  16. Problem If this continues, the environment outside of the ocean will be impacted as well

  17. Purpose The purpose of this instructional design project is to • Develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a curated website for adults living in Hawaii • Motivate a change in attitudes about the benefits of sustainable sunscreen and the impact on Hawaii’s natural environment
