INTRODUCTION • Managing or monitoring mesh network is very complex • To reduce the complexity, a network visualization tool is needed • The front end will provide a dashboard to visualize information collected from various parameters • Help network managers to quickly identify active problems or prevent future problems.

SOME RELATED WORK • Google WiFi in Mountain view • Visualization map only shows the network coverage area • Meraki • Solution utilizes a management tool developed by the NetEquality organization, called dashboard. Only available for Meraki routers • Roofnet • Has a real-time link map, which shows link quality, but does not provide user interactivity.

  5. User Requirements • Show the location of the nodes over the map • Show the active wireless links • Show link quality in each direction, using different colours • Provide an interactive interface. • Provide a mechanism for user authentication to access the system

Requirement Analysis • Interactive web-based interface • Allow the user to access more information by clicking and hovering • html, css, JavaScript, Jquery • Easy overview of active wireless links • Colours and threshold values for link quality • Represent link quality metric values by a colour scale. • Use Google maps JavaScript API v3 for visualization • Showing coordinates of the nodes • Must be easy for everyone to understand at a glance what is going on in the network
