  4. What we are not aiming to be • Entertainers • A club for all of the friends of your student • The primary source of discipleship for your student • A replacement for Corporate Worship

  5. What we are about: Word Centered 1 Timothy 4:15-16 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

  6. What we are about: Word Centered • Trusting that God’s word accomplishes his will, not us. • Regular expositional teaching from the bible • Teaching systematically through the breadth of scripture • Application with an eye to their unique stage of life.

  7. What we are about: Christ Centered Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

  9. What we are about: Gospel Centered Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age

  10. What we are about: Gospel Centered • The Gospel will be present in all our teaching. • The Gospel will be the grounds for our applications • The Gospel will permeate our discipleship relationships • The Gospel will be the content of our evangelism

  11. Summer Regular Schedule KM’s every Sunday at 9:30-10:40am KM’s most Wednesdays at 7:00-8:30pm Brown House some Fridays at 3:00-5:00pm Paternity Leave (End of June-Early July)

  12. Ministry Structure: Teaching (Fall) • Sunday morning: Interactive teaching time around tables • Wednesdays: Sermon format, small group discussion after. • Morning Fellowship: Inductive bible study & breakfast on Friday Mornings twice a month

Ministry Structure: Small Groups (Fall) • Small Groups of 8-12 every Wednesday. • Adult Leaders (3 per group) • Lead discussions to help students apply truths • Opportunities for 1-1 discipleship are key. • Makeup of a small group • Two friend requests, one 7th and one 8th. • Intentionally mixing students • Aids students valuing different parts of the body of Christ.

  14. Ministry Structure: SST • Student Service Team – Students leaders who volunteer for additional training to be equipped for acts of service. • Service Projects • Book discussions. • Challenges to lead & serve

  20. How can you support KMs?

  21. Adult Small Group Leaders • Attend Wednesdays during school year. • Lead a small group of 8-12 students on Wednesday nights. • Participate in monthly leader equipping meetings • Prioritize retreats (3 per school year) • Find ways to build 1-1 discipleship relationships • Pray for your students!

  22. Supporting Events • Morning Fellowship: 2 Parents per event to split breakfast duties. (10-20 students) • Hosting Surges • Attending parent-inclusive events.

  23. Supporting Generally • Prioritize discipleship in the life of your student • Encourage your student to attend KMs as a compliment to corporate worship • Celebrate with your student as you see gospel growth!

  24. Would you pray for us? • Pray for a mature, consistent, and deepening love of Jesus in your student & all of our students in KM’s • Pray for protection from things that will ruin our witness in the community and quench of passion for Christ. • Pray for the gospel to produce joy in everything we do in KM’s. • Pray for us to lovingly reach students outside of our church bubble with the gospel.
