Theme and Symbol Posters • You will create a theme and symbol poster that shows your understanding of one theme and one symbol that appeared in Of Mice and Men. • Theme: Use the subjects given at the beginning of the unit to help you create a theme. • Symbol: Choose the one you think is most important to the novel.

  3. Theme and Symbol Posters • Theme: On one side of the poster, clearly write the theme so that it is easily visible. Then write a paragraph explanation for how this theme appeared in Of Mice and Men. You may want to include visuals for added creativity. • Symbol: On the other side of the poster, clearly label and draw a symbol that appears in Of Mice and Men. Write a paragraph analysis of how this symbol is significant in the novel. As always, add visuals to bring creativity to your poster.

  4. Theme and Symbol Posters • The posters will be due Friday, November 16th(That is the Friday before Thanksgiving break). • The posters will be worth 50 points as a project grade. • You will be graded on effort, depth, and creativity.
