MGT 520 objectives (1 of 4) • Become familiar with the processes for designing effective organizations • Identify organizational development methods • Understanding why it is so difficult to make change; and • Learn some of the strategies & models to overcome the inevitable resistance to change.   7. More course outcomes (2 of 4) • Apply managerial decision-making techniques to increase organizational efficiency. This includes learning the obstacles to good decision-making and prescriptions for improving choices. Ø Appreciate that motivation is the salient factor in achieving objectives. In order to motivate people one must understand individuals and their differences, an often difficult task. ØLearn ways (both good and bad) to increase your ability to use power and influence.
