  2. Characteristics • The temperature does not change much. • It rains a lot. • 2/3 of all land animals and plants can be fond in the rainforest. • 32 feet of rain can fall in a single year. • Not much grows on the forest floor • The rain forest is the wettest place in the world.

  3. Location • South East Asia • Australia • Africa • South America • Central America • Madagascar • New Guinea

  4. Plant Life • Vines- Vines are thick wood that wraps around trees or plants. • Kapok Tree- The Kapok can grow to be 150 to 200 feet tall.

  5. Animal Life • Sloths spend 20 hours a day sleeping. • The Toucan spends a lot of time in tree tops. • Iguanas can grip trees and vines. • Vipers are poisonous snakes that have fangs that unfold from their mouths.
