  2. Story Boards for Podcasts DefinitionA sequence of text and/or drawings, typically with directions and dialogue, representing the plan for a video/audio production.

  3. Story boards Purpose To preplan and previsualizewhat will appear on your podcast, kind of like a sketched rough draft of the final product.

  4. Podcast Planning • Topic choice – appropriate, relevant, interesting • Number of speakers – solo, or partner (each student must create own podcast) • Script – written words to follow when speaking • Choice of music, sound at beginning and end • Resources – provide your sources

  5. Podcasts Organization Storyboard: Powerpoint, Inspiration, Cmap, Word, etc. (tools to organize and write script). Provide a beginning, middle, and end to every podcast. Listen to others and note the cues for these (music, sound, intros, greetings). Practice, practice, practice, then record.

  6. Tools for Podcasts • Recording application – Audacity • Headphones/microphones • File format reverter to MP3 web compatable file • Upload to e-portfolio with script

Organization of Podcasts • Beginwith sound, music (5-10 seconds), introduce self, topic, place, and date • Middle provides overview of topic, purpose for presenting topic, details of topic, opinion about use in education, and examples. • End finishes with conclusion, thank audience for listening, say goodbye, sound, music (5-10 seconds)
