  3. Save Water. -Get a faucet aerator. This appliance is very inexpensive and it conserves heat and water, while keeping a high pressure. - Purchase a low flow shower head. - Plant drought-tolerant plants in your garden. This will reduce the amount of water you need to water your plants.

  4. Save Gas. • -Walk or bike. • Lobby your local government to spend more money on sidewalks • and bike lanes.

  5. EatSmart. - Buy locally raised humane, organic meat, eggs, and dairy. - Purchasing locally keeps money in the local economy. - Whatever your diet, eat low on the food chain. Especially when it comes to sea food.

  6. Skip On BottledWater. - Use a filter to purify tap water instead of buying bottled water. - Not only is bottled water expensive, but the containers it comes in produces a lot of waste. - Carry your bottled water in your own container so that your not purchasing bottled water over and over again.

  7. Think Before You Buy. - Try to go online and purchase gently used second hand products. - Stop into a local thrift store or check out a garage sale. - After moving, if you are looking to redecorate consider using a service such as eBay or craigslist.
