ACTION PLANwithin the group Log in to SoliComm Prepare a brief report of the course, add your personal experiences, comments and define the concerns and priorities for your country, the regional level as well as the international level Share the report with the group by uploading it to Soli Comm Form subgroups which will develop research competency in NAMA, GATS or TRIMS and TRIPS. Introductory Course should be followed up with an advance training program including the new developments coming for the next year. (within 6-8 months)

ACTION PLANin the homeland • Telling the concerns and impacts of international trade agreements on the employment and society to the executive bodies of each trade union and national centre • Convincing the executive bodies at both sectoral and national levels to take actions against international trade agreements by using theirpolitical power and creating working groups or forums to discuss the issues with the government • Organise training programmes on international trade agreements. • Organising seminars, conferences and meetings and attracting the attention of the public and workers to create awareness and consciousness on the impacts of globalization and international trade agreements • Found your research departments studying on the topics related to international trade agreements and publish the impacts and studies in websites and periodicals • Seek for assistance from other unions’ technical stuff and experts

ACTION PLANin the homeland • Create cooperation andbuild alliances with NGO’s, consumer movements, institutions, universities and trade unions. • Reach the Ministries’ officers of Trade, Labour, Planning & Development and submit the reports and researches on the negative impacts of international trade agreements on the employment and development. • Prepare resolution for tripartite mechanism legislation in the parliament. • Find and convince a member of parliament to submit the resolution and push for tripartite body for consultation and trade representative officer at the WTO meetings from labour side. • Put pressure on the governments to ratify and implement the ILO standards and conventions. • Empowering the capacity of trade unions by recruiting new members or merging each other.

  5. ACTION PLANat the regional and international level • Lobby on ILO having an observer status at WTO. • ITUC regional offices should also be involved in action plan. • Follow TILS group's studies and contribute it by your own studies. • Create solidarity platforms at the regional levels and put pressure on the neighbor country by your governments to apply at least core labor standards.
