  7. Three Advantages of Email • Faster to send and receive responses. • Saves time and money. Time zones, holidays, weekends are no problem. • More convenient. No more phone tag.

  8. Three Disadvantages of Email • Not private. Can be subpoenaed. Not really deleted. • Can’t be retracted once sent. • Once sent, it’s out of your control. Can be sent to many others.

  9. Guidelines for using Email • One subject per message. Always use subject. • Ask yourself what would your reaction be to the message. • Message needs to be correct, concise, and clear. • Maintain goodwill of recipient. Use common courtesies. • Use paragraphs. • When replying use only enough of original message to make sense.

  10. Signatures in Email message. • Email addresses can be anonymous. • Signatures make it clear who the sender is.
