  10. THE PRESENT SIMPLE : HE - SHE - IT 3rd person singular

  11. In general : • The third person singular is formed by adding an s to the base verb. • To work He works

  12. In verbs ending in ss,x,ch,sh,o • “Es” is added in the third person singular. • To dress She dresses • To fix He fixes • To watch She watches T.V. • To wash She washes • To go It goes !

  13. In verbs ending in consonant + y • The y changes to “ies” • To cry He cries.

  14. The present simple : negative form
