  2. Why Shakespeare? Did you know that Shakespeare continues to influence literature around the world even today? His work dates back to the late 1500’s and early 1600’s, and yet his writing can be found everywhere! Amazing, isn’t it?

  3. Why Shakespeare? There are about 1700 words or phrases that originate from Shakespeare’s writings that you will find used in the world today! Maybe you have heard them, too, or say them, but didn’t know you were quoting Shakespeare!

  4. Why Shakespeare?Here are some reasons: 1. If you are not familiar with Shakespeare in some way, you are at a disadvantage when you read or study other classical works. Shakespeare is referenced in many other writings!

  5. Why Shakespeare?Here are some reasons: 2. Enjoyment and pleasure can be discovered when you learn how profound Shakespeare’s work was. His writing often expresses emotions that touch the human heart in profound ways that regular English cannot.

  6. Why Shakespeare? Shakespeare continues to influence our world with drama and literature. Shakespeare is, in fact, the most popular dramatist and poet the Western world has ever produced.

  8. Why Shakespeare? Shakespeare told every kind of story – comedy, tragedy, history, melodrama, adventure, love stories and fairy tales. His stories continue to be enjoyed. They have become immortal. In all the world of storytelling he has become the greatest name.

  12. Why Shakespeare? These are all examples of how Shakespeare’s words have become a part of our world. Many expressions we use, originated with Shakespeare!
