  3. Short_term goal Focus on encouraging students instead of praising. Focus on improving their reading, comprehension & composition skills.

  4. Instructional strategies & tasks • I will provide opportunities to the students to answer the questions & compose different sentences. • I will ask the students to read newspapers • I will provide them newspapers for improving their reading skills. • I will arrange listening activities for improving their listening skills.

  5. I will provide the students with time For group discussion. Dictation will be given to them for improving their writing skills. I will arrange a reading competition.

  6. Solution to anticipated challenges • Lack of periods. • Completion of curriculum. • Parents may not understand my method. • If students will not bring their newspapers. • Their may be some students who will show irresponsibility towards reading. • I will utilize their art,library and P.E periods. • I will send note in their diary or call them for meeting. • I will bring magazines & newspapers from library. • I will arrange extra class .for them.

  7. Time line • January: I will focus on improving their reading. • February: I will focus on their comprehension skills. • March: • I will work for improving their composition.

  8. Resources • Magazines & newspapers • Worksheets • Other teachers • CD`s for listening comprehension • Rewards(medals,certificates)

  9. Conclusion • By implementing my newly acquired 21st century teaching approaches,students will be empowered and will appreciate and gain a better knowledge of Urdu.
