  2. Driver’s Fatigue • 150 people are killed each year in Ireland on the road due to drivers fatigue.

Wake up to the facts !!! • Driving when you're tired isn't illegal, but it could be fatal.The RSA appeals to motorists to be aware of the dangers of driver fatigue. • Research indicates that one in every five crashes on Irish roads could be caused by driver fatigue. They urge road users to be aware of the warning signs of driver fatigue, know the risks and keep yourself and your family safe. • Wake up to the facts about driver fatigue and how to avoid it.

  4. Symptoms • Yawning • Closing eyes • Day dreaming • Lack of concentration • Micro sleep

  5. Road Rage • Road rage is aggressive, or angry behavior by a motorist. • This then makes people speed up, which could cause an accident.

  6. Causes of road rage • There are more potholes on the roads • People messing in the back of cars • Bad road conditions

What happens when people get annoyed ..... • Aggressive driving, including sudden acceleration, braking, and close tailgating. • Cutting others off in a lane • Chasing other motorists • Flashing lights and sounding the horn excessively. • Disruptive behavior at roadside establishments. • Driving at high speeds • Rude gestures • Shouting verbal abuses or threats. • Assaulting other motorists, passengers, cyclists or pedestrians. • Exiting the car to hit other vehicles with an object.
