  2. Archeologist have visible evidence that Vikings came to the islands of Northeastern Canada around 1000 A.D. and set up “small encampments.”

  3. But it wasn't until the late 1500’s when the journey to the Americas was in effect

  4. In August of 1492 Christopher Columbus set sail. He landed October 12th on an island which we know as the Bahamas.

  5. Cabeza deVeca was one of four survivors of the 400 men expedition to Texas.

  6. Lopez de Cardenas was the first European to see and describe the Grand Canyon.
