The compass The compass was used as a navigation tool the needle would point in the direction you were going. The reason the needle moves in the direction you are going is because the North Pole as a magnetic field that pulls the needle towards the north.

  9. Conclusion Many Explorers gained a lot of wealth in the new world. Explorers gained lots of helpful resources like new kinds of fruit from the new world. Also in the new world there was gold and many explorers became rich. The explorers had brought guns to the new world that the natives didn’t have. With this powerful item the explorers were able to enslave the Native Americans. They also learned a lot from the natives. But the explorers brought a disease to the new world which many natives died from, small pox. Many natives were very unfortunate because many Europeans and the Spanish took over a lot of what they had but gained new things too. When the explorers can to the new world they brought horses with them. Some of the horses escaped and then the Natives gained a new animal, horses. When the explorers took over and the Natives were enslaved, they were forced to work in missions and ranchos. Many lost power and lives due to the destruction when the explorers came. When the Natives lived in the missions, they were taught to believe in Christianity. Many of the natives lives were changed.
