On behalf of Special Event Productions Incorporated, I am pleased to present our presentation for the fall’s largest hot rod enthusiast event held in the Mid-Atlantic region…the 8th annual Endless Summer Cruisin’ 2005! This October 6-9, 2005 event hosts 2,500 participants and over 50,000 spectators at the beautiful beachside resort area of Ocean City, Maryland. Ocean City’s Special Events attract sponsorship support from some of the largest automotive-based and broad-based consumer retail product companies in the world. Automotive companies such as Flowmaster Exhausts; ATI Performance Products; GEICO Auto Insurance; Goodyear; GM Performance; Pace American; Haulmark USA; Sunoco Corporation; Meguiar’s Car Care Products, and others have been joined by MBNA America Bank; Discover Card; CITI Financial; Hershey’s; Hormel Foods; Pepsi-Cola; Maryland Lottery, and more. The reasons are clear: This 8th annual automotive showcase draws spectators from over twenty states to the Ocean City, Maryland area. These spectators are highly-sought upscale consumers, and they are extremely loyal to the sponsor’s products and brands that participate at our annual event. In addition, Endless Summer Cruisin’ has the political support of Ocean City’s Mayor, City Council, Hotel Association, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau. Ocean City is located along the picturesque beachside on the Maryland peninsula’s shoreline area. The 8th annual automotive extravaganza features over 2,500 Hot Rods, Street Rods, Custom Trucks, and colorful automotive creations. Endless Summer Cruisin’ 2005 will attract over 50,000 event spectators during the event’s four days in October. EVENT SPECTATOR AND PARTICIPANT DEMOGRAPHICS • 25% attended Endless Summer Cruisin’ three or more times; 25% have attended up to three times; • 40% attended in 2004 for the first time; 10% attended Endless Summer Cruisin’ all seven years. • Endless Summer Cruisin’ draws participants - spectators from: Maryland; Pennsylvania; New York; • Virginia; North Carolina; South Carolina; Delaware; New Jersey; West Virginia; Ohio; Massachusetts; • Connecticut; Florida; Indiana; Kentucky; Georgia; Alabama; Louisiana; Maine; and Tennessee. • 35% are between the ages of 18-34; 35% are between ages 35-49; 30% are between ages 50-59. • Gender is 60% male – 40% female. Almost half (45%) are single heads of family households. • 59% gross $65,000+ per year; 26% gross $46-65,000 per year; 15% gross $26-45,000 per year. • 90% of all Endless Summer Cruisin’ participants and spectators own their household residences. • 68% own 3-5 cars per household; 22% own more than five cars per household; 10% own two cars. • 90% wash- wax-detail their vehicles; 85% own custom wheels-tires; 80% own special exhaust • systems; 75% have custom paint-trim; 65% have custom interiors: 52% change their oil-filters.
