Hardware Status Trigger logic: 2 Lecroy 4516 in hand (1 + 1 spare will be rented) Trigger Receiver in hand (7 boards) Trigger Scalers ordered (2 in June) NIM and Camac Crates and PS 2 brand new VME crates in hand 2 new VME crates ordered (June) 3 second hand VME crate in Hand 2 expected from Fermilab 6 VME-Pci Interfaces in hand 4 LDC PCs in hand 2 GDC about to be ordered 2 Switches about to be ordered Jean-Sébastien Graulich

Software Status • DATE software installed and running on 2 PCs • Interface related software is ready • TDC V1290 readout running (optimization needed) • To be done • VLSB readout • Flash ADC readout • Trigger receiver interface and readout Trigger receiver board will also do trigger condition selection • Progressing “slowly but continuously” • No reason to believe it won’t be ready in time… Jean-Sébastien Graulich

Expected delivery • Vassil and me at RAL on July 15-28 • We’ll send the PCs and Crates one week before • 4 VME crates, 6 LDC PCs, 2 GDCs, 1 runControl PC, 1 Data Saver PC • If no surprise, DAQ software can be operational in 48 hours. • Probably instable at the beginning… • There is always some need for hardware/software debugging • No estimation: We’ll do our best Jean-Sébastien Graulich

Required support & infrastructure • We assume • LCR Accessible, main power plugs, Air conditioning, Ethernet connection • Room for PCs: • 8 standard PC towers (40 x  20 x 45 cm3) • 3 maxi-towers (70 x 20 x 45 cm3) • 4 workstations: standard PC tower + monitor and working space • Some particle trigger signal • Support for cabling • Network Cabling inside the LCR • DAQ to/from Tracker • DAQ to/from Target System • DAQ to RF System area • External signals: • Machine Start • Dp train • Isis beam monitor or Isis discriminated RF • Target ready signal (the target system should receive its trigger from us) • Questions • Shall we send our racks ? • Can RAL provide power cords with UK jacks ? • Is there any kind of electronics pool at RAL ?
