  2. Our CITY belongs to the Lord Jesus • We know it is high time for the rapture of the church of Jesus Christ. • The goal of the church is to preach, teach, canvass and evangelize the masses while laboring in doctrine. • We will promote the new birth experience to everyone we meet.

  3. You will be known as a person from that CITY • Matthew 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

  4. We are AMBASSADORS in our CITY • Eph 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, • Eph 6:20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

  5. The CITY we live in is the CITY we love • Matthew 21:17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. • Matthew 9:1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

  6. You are responsible for that CITY • Act 18:9-11 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city. And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

  7. The Pastor of our church and the Bishop of our CITY • Acts 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. • Acts 14:21a And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many

  8. Case Study: Samaria The CITY of Joy • Act 8:4-8 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.

  9. Population City Officials Demography Racial breakdowns Socio-economics Where are the poor in my CITY? What gangs are in my CITY? How many schools are in my CITY? How many homeless people are there in my CITY? What do you know about our CITY?

  10. How do we take our CITY?

  11. Church web-sites Flyers Door hangers Gift cards Bibles Bible studies Special services Block parties Crusades Free food to reach and compel the lost. What can we use to compel and reach our CITY?

  12. 1. Blitzing-distributing door hangers in the city. 2. Heaven or Hell gowinsouls.com Evangelist Tim Downs – approach requires you to know the script and follow it to the letter without the person redirecting the conversation How can we effectively reach our CITY?

  13. How can we effectively reach our CITY? 3. Bless the community through giving - by compelling people to come to a 2pm church service. Register all 1st time visitors at the beginning and give away prizes at the end of service after the altar call. This service will take place at the church @ 2pm. Preach an evangelistic 15min. message & powerful altar call.

  14. Effectively reaching our CITY 4. Adopt-A-Block – consists of mowing grass, cleaning up trash and serving communities of less fortune.

  15. How can we effectively reach our CITY? 3. Effective Block Party – this event should take place in a park or busy strip mall parking lot in a community that is not affluent. It must be a well coordinated effort with every member of the church participating. It is an excellent thing to see the under shepherd working along side the sheep. You will need to provide free food, cooks, servers for meals, praise and worship music, praise team, jumpers, prize give-aways, baptismal tank, chairs, tables, flyers, children’s ministry, registration, tickets, appointed leaders and other important information. Preaching – 10 minute evangelistic message and a compelling apostolic altar call - all hands on deck for the clean up crew.
