  3. 4. Hypotheticals (Imagine what would happen if…) • Anecdotes (a single event that proves something) • Addressing Opposition (rebuttal) (“They will tell you … but the truth is …”) • Concessions (“While I agree with them about … I disagree when it comes to …”)

  4. DO NOW Write a five paragraph persuasive essay about ANYTHING you want. Be sure each paragraph is at least four sentences long. You must use at least THREE methods of persuasion. Don’t forget to include an intro and conclusion, a thesis, and topic sentences at the beginning of your paragraphs.
