Career Pathways • Developing Career Pathways for each strategic industry • Defense Automotives is the most advanced • Initial dialogue with MCSD, largest school district in region • Discussions with CTC in Defense Automotives; CVCC in IT • Direction of Architecture and Sustainable Construction TBD • Plan an academy approach with Defense Automotives • Will be a dual enrollment program initially • CTC part of the program will be a cooperative (Co-Op) work program; students will be paid while going to school (Army funded) • The challenge: getting everyone’s approval; laying out the program in detail; promoting it to teachers/administrators, students and parents • Would like to develop a Peachstate Pathways layout for each of the strategic industries
